In an excellent example of PIO done right, Detroit Public Safety Foundation posted the following information on their Facebook Page:
“The Detroit Public Safety Foundation was proud to sponsor the National DT4EMS Training. The 2-day, 16 hour course focused on escaping violent encounters and included preparedness for the streets through tactical de-escalation and physical defensive skills. The EMTs were also trained on public awareness and critical thinking skills of attacker identification and mitigation. Thanks to Michiana Healthcare Education Center for providing the training over an 8 week period. This is important training aimed at keeping our EMTs safe on the job!”
