DT4EMS Instructor Spotlight: Jeff McMullen
For this first of many instructor spotlight posts, I want to introduce you to Jeff McMullen from Denver. Jeff and I met face to face for the first time when he attended an instructor course hosted by a hospital in West Virginia.
Jeff and I had talked about DT4EMS on the phone for about a year and a half before we were able to get all of the bugs worked out and his agency on board.
It was obvious when I first met Jeff he was an experienced EMS educator. He was (and still is) sharp, witty and obviously knowledgeable about all things EMS. He possessed lecture skills that floored me the first time I watched him present during the student teaching portion of the instructor class. It was clear he was a natural and was going to be a great DT4EMS Instructor.
It didn’t take long for Jeff and I to become friends. He also became a person who I could turn to for advice. A couple of years later Jeff became the first DT4EMS Instructor -Trainer…ever.
So, if you ever get the chance to go by Denver Health’s EMS Education… Look up Jeff and shake his hand. He is an advocate for EMS and simply one heck of a guy.
