The Escaping Violent Encounters (E.V.E.) Advanced course builds on the foundational skills taught in E.V.E.-4-EMS/Fire and E.V.E.-4-HP, providing EMS, fire, and healthcare professionals with real-world self-defense strategies. This course teaches participants how to identify, de-escalate, evade, and, when necessary, defend against armed attackers.

  • Edged Weapon Defense – Protection against knives and sharp objects
  • Stick/Club Defense – Countering impact weapons
  • Firearm Disarms – Techniques to safely neutralize armed threats
  • Ground Defense Skills – Effective self-defense when taken to the ground
  • Use of Intermediate/Improvised Weapons (Tactical Safety Shears) – Practical applications of everyday tools for self-defense
