Nurse Safety Tip: Using a door as a barrier

In DT4EMS’ EVE, we draw a line of distinction between a tactic and a technique. Tactics are behaviors, safeguards, polices/procedures and the like to prevent the violent encounter. Techniques are the physical skills used to escape a violent encounter, for when a tactic wasn’t available or appropriate.

This safety/defensive tactic is showing examples of how a door could be used as a barrier to keep a “patient” in, or out of an area in an emergency.
